Interthinking, Oct, 2024 - March, 2025
Following the successful edition of Art Salon Paris in 2023, Kate Vass Galerie opened Art Salon II, hosted at Budapest Art Factory in Budapest. This year's edition we present the exhibition "Interthinking", celebrating Hungarian cultural heritage and the influence of iconic Hungarian artists on the international contemporary generative art scene.
We showcased artworks by esteemed artists including László Moholy-Nagy, Victor Vasarely, Nicolas Schöffer, György Kepes, Vera Molnár, André Kertész, and Brassaï. This year, we collaborated with another esteemed collector, Ferenc Offenbacher, the founder and director of the Kepes György International Art Center, who proudly presented historical pieces from his collection. In addition to the Hungarian pioneers' works, the exhibition featured contemporary exclusive pieces by internationally known artists who either draw inspiration from or reflect upon the aesthetic and thematic breakthroughs pioneered by these masters. The exhibition displayed works by Iskra Velitchkova, Marcelo Soria-Rodríguez, David Szauder, Kevin Abosch, Laura Rautjoki, Mario Klingemann, Studio u2p050, and Julien Gachadoat. This global selection of contemporary artists demonstrates the wide-reaching influence of Hungarian art on generative and digital art practices worldwide.
